Is it actually random and fair?
Yes. It uses a Fisher–Yates shuffle, which gives every team an equal chance at every slot. No weighting, no house edge. Do it live on your draft-night call so everyone sees it happen.
Can I use this for a snake draft?
Yes. This sets your first-round order; a snake draft just reverses that order each round (last pick in round one gets the first pick in round two, and so on).
